Project Manager

Program Overview

  • Provide Project Management support to the CDM Phase 1 System Owner and ISCM CDM Program Manager using industry standards, e.g. Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and concepts to achieve project deliverables on time, in scope and cost. Coordinate with ISCM CDM stakeholders and customers across the USDA enterprise to realize benefits of the program. Support the Program Manager in cost accounting, budget planning and execution as well as overall portfolio management. Support Earned Value Management (EVM), as required, and in accordance with Federal and Department regulations. ServiceNow solution will be implemented during the Period of Performance (PoP) to use for Project Plans/Schedules, as well as EVM and Portfolio Management 

    Project management is an ongoing task to ensure that all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget. Key project management tasks include:
  • Developing, executing and managing a project plan and a work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present project progress to senior management and project stakeholders.  
  • Creating weekly activity reports, monthly status reports, and monthly financial reports
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Coordinating and planning meetings with stakeholders
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders. This includes formal project status briefings at monthly ISCM CDM Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings
  • As determined by project, implementing and hosting project status meetings with stakeholders. These may be weekly or bi-weekly depending on project
  • Post all project documentation on the ISCM CDM SharePoint data repository and as needed in the ISC ServiceNow system.
  • Providing timely notification to the ISCM CDM Program Manager and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) when problems or issues occur.
