Knowledge Management Specialist

Program Overview



    The Knowledge Management Specialist, will have an integral part in the Education, Administration & Training Branch. Supporting multi platforms and a communication strategy to support the CDM program, Agency and stakeholders. 

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Author, monitor and evaluate technical and training content, ensuring comments and questions are addressed and content is updated accordingly
  • Edit submitted content for clarity and style, ensuring information is technically accurate
  • Stay current on any product updates and issues that may require knowledge solutions
  • Manage relationships with PMs, implementation managers, technical support team members, and software developers to collect content submissions
  • Work closely with other departments such as product development to improve integration and facilitate the seamless exchange of information
  • Launch of Knowledge Management System (KM), Information, Data (KiD) Framework
  • Establish Global Knowledge Management Quality System
  • Formalize plans, workflow and instructions, and standards for teams to follow
  • Support Deploying KM tools
  • Defining the quality plan to understand where the data goes and purpose
  • Support generation of Wikiís, training, how to guides, and tools
  • Establish formal lessons learned
  • Update and Document Process Maps
  • Formalizing plans, work instructions, and create standards for teams to follow
  • Configuring, defining structure, creating training material, and rollout
  • SharePoint website administration
  • Collect appropriate engineering data for usage in databases and conduct related research
  • Research databases, intranet, and other data sources for relevant information

    Education and Experience

  • Strongly Preferred: Experience with MS SharePoint
  • Edit submitted content for clarity and style, ensuring information is technically accurate
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite including a strong understanding of Excel, word, power point, Visio
  • Experience writing work instructions or procedures
  • Experience with auditing QMS procedures and work instructions as well as corrective/preventive action is preferred
  • Solid written and verbal communications
  • Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment
  • Able to show initiative, good judgment and resourcefulness
